| How is this different than AOL-Time Warner? Time Warner (formerly AOL-TW) has tried and failed to combine content and delivery. Time Warner Cable will soon be spun off, and the AOL portion they would very much like to get rid of. They are also trying to shed the music part of TW.
I suspect that the DirectTV/Fox merger will not realize the profits that are expected. Content and delivery never mix, unless you want ALL of your content from one company, which most people do not.
