Re: Business "load balancing" router I bought the XiNCOM XC-DPG402 Twin WAN Router a month ago. In most cases, it appears to be a good inexpensive solution. I have no problems using it with BellSouth FastAccess DSL, however I am unable to use it with EarthLink DSL. I have the router set up to do PPPoE for both connections, while the DSL modems are just in bridge mode.
The issue here seems to be that the XiNCOM firmware supports only CHAP, not PAP, for PPPoE authentication. BellSouth works fine with CHAP, but EarthLink only allows PAP, so I am unable to authenticate.
Has anyone else tried this router with EarthLink DSL?
