Ho hum

Aol does have a place, narrowbandly, for those users who lack the savvy to choose their own content and the technical know how to secure their machines. however their price point is wayy too high. Their arrogance is appalling, but not unheard of in the business world. They need to streamline, offer a 10.00 permonth fee and tweak their broadband options at about what they charge for dialup.

The real quandary for AOL is that once their users become net savvy they will most likely look for something else (cheaper narrowband or faster broadband). In the end, AOL will be stuck with an ever diminishing consumer niche: users who like AOL content, and/or users who are not too net savvy.
