It pisses me off how the computer cheats!!! I am going perfectly in race 104 (7 laps!), so I do 6/7 flawlessly and when I am on the 7th lap the next car just darts past me! I can't even catch up to it with NAWS!! The only way to beat this is to make the other car crash into something.

OMFG.. that so true.. I find myself pushing other cars into barrers and whatnot.. Sometime if I'm lucky a car will run into traffic or it will spin out.. I was in shock when I saw me and another car ran into traffic (knockout race) and he flipped upside down and what not.. I was already moving and by the time he got back up He must of been doing 50 Mph or so.. Geez

Cuz your video card is not a Direct 9 Video card.. Nvida did not have it back then on your card.. Just like my Ati Radeon can't do that cuz it's a Dirext 8 card.. you need a card that does Dx9.

I have a DX8 card as well, but in the demo if you changed your video options you could get the girls to come up instead of the counter.
The only difference is, the counter counts down your start and the girls wave their arms. I think the counter is much better imo.

Anyone get the new paint colors yet? I am at 83/111 and twice it said that I have unlocked the 2nd and 3rd level paint. But when I go in there all of the colors are still locked. What's the deal with that?

P.S. The skyline is the sh!t!!

Some notes:
1. Stupid Game Bug: Motion blur and light trails in this game are rendered *after* AA is processed, which is why anti-aliasing doesn't work if Motion Blur and/or Light Trails is turned on. If you notice, images on reflected surfaces also are aliased. They shoulda used a DX9a shader to render those effects, tsk tsk.

2. Screenshot Tip: In the "Customize Ride" screen, you can change the camera angle easily by clicking and dragging the screen.

3. Yeah, the computer cheats...but it cheats a lot less than the AI in Hot Pursuit 2. In NFS:HP2, it was as if your car was filled with helium but the AI cars were loaded with bricks; if you hit something or something hit you, you were literally thrown into the ditch.

In this game it seems when you use Nos the A.I. cars speed up.. I did it once when on of the A.I. cars were near traffic and it started to go crazy and ran into a car.

there are a few weird effects
when you slam into a car you dont goo all over the place flippiing like that and in slow motion! thats what pissis me off and no damage...

other then that, n4s underground gets 2 thumbs up..

i dont think changing to different cars makes a difference because upon browsing the cars that are on offer, there seems to be no difference in stats compared with ur current car. y ???
