What in the hell you guys download to rack up over 80-90 Gigs a month? I am lucky to even hit 5 gigs a month during a good month. Geesh!

Well I do a lot of online gaming, and I also have napster. Throw in some pretty heavy web browsing, and it doesn't take me long to download a few gigs of data in a short amount of time. With a high speed connection it doesn't take very long at all. And most of these people here have connections a lot better than mine.

I do a lot of online gaming too, plus I have eMule running 24/7. eMule's stats say I've transferred 75 GB in 3 months, but that's just with eMule. I've probably transferred twice that with online gaming, web browsing, other P2P apps, etc. I'm certain I've exceeded the 15 GB limit on multiple occassions, but no nasty letters or emails yet.

Man, I zoned out there. Being that I don't game on-line, I didn't even consider that to be a factor. My bad!

Have you even counted the amount of data that comes down in service packs?

I did a clean install of Windows 2000 (in before all the "well, you got a broken piece of software, don't blame me you have to download service packs" whiners.) Just to get everything up to snuff (not even downloading Media player 9.0) and only 2 driver files, was close to 500MB alone! This is just for a clean install! Service packs of 30-40MB each, security patches galore. The driver files were no more than 5MB!

It isn't all P2P people.

In addition,
I like to download the latest Linux Distro ISO's we are talking several GIG's. I also like to do remote backups of my Files to a server. This too takes up bandwidth.

I am aware of that now. See above apology express as "my bad!"

Not a problem but you gotta cover all angles before the "apologists" come crying that it's all P2P or gamers or FTP this and that.
