| Not So Fast Just look at the status bar. |

 | The thieves are just going to use onMouseOver="" to change the status bar to what they want. :| |

Which also erases the funny lookin link from the status bar of mozilla (but not if you visit the page, of course, then mozilla/firebird/opera are showing the fake out). |

jplove71Premium join:2001-03-16 Colorado Springs, CO | Using that page, I noticed that the URL in the status bar always goes back pointing back to symantec.com no matter which link I hover over when using Firebird. -- Browsing with Mozilla Firebird 0.7 |

 | reply to ArchAngel21x How do you get it to display the address in the status bar once the page has been loaded? I have my status bar on but once the page is loaded I can no longer see where I'm really at. |

justinAustralian join:1999-05-28 New York, NY kudos:7 | cannot. once you are there, you can either hover over links in the page (but status bar can be over-ridden with javascript) or do right button view properties on the entire page (or file view properties from the browser menu). |

Hover your mouse over a link once you get to the phony Symatec Page, like purchase or support on top. -- I am the beginning. I am the end. I am forever, and I will continue to exist long after everything, even hope itself, has been destroyed. |

1 edit | reply to justin I've just tried both Firebird and Opera.
Neither one of those are capable of successfully loading some of the "secure" sites I _must_ log onto (if I want to get paid).
(example site: yoh.dayzim.com)
(after I log in none of the required pages will will load)
Looks like I'm stuck with IE and being very careful. |
