Any word on whether or not Bell re-sellers will be offering the speed increase?

I don't see why not. Almost all upgrade are network wide.

Yes they will. ALL ADSL modems connect to a Bell CO or Remote DSLAM, so they all connect at the same speed where technically possible(if you're not too far away).

That is unless you have a leased line from another provider that goes directly to them.

That (potentially) will be grief for the re-sellers.

If their customers all get an upgrade in speed, here's hoping their pipes to the net are big enough. If not, Bell which had time to plan and upgrade, looks good, and these other isps look bad to their customers.
