I would hardly call Canada a socialist totalitarian state - It would be worse than calling the U.S. a capitalist society with a dictator at the helm (since there is one).

| | | | | Re: Canuck in L.A. For some reason, many of our American brothers think they are the only ones with a political spectrum, and everyone else is left-wing... Truth of course is that largest spectrums are in some European nations, Switzerland being a very good example.
True, Canada probably is less socially conservative than US, but North US states resound closer to Canada than with south US when it comes to this anyway.
