Hooking up X Box to my Network

Navi Man : I'm currently running a Linksys wireless access point router with my DSL service. I have the DSL modem hooked to the Linksys which is in turn hard wired to the main computer. I have two other computers that are linked to the DSL through wireless USB adapters. I now want to be able to hook up X Box live through my DSL connection, This will be upstairs in a room with one of the computers hooked up to the network with a wireless connection. I was thinking of getting a Linksys switch and putting it in the attic. I would then wire the X Box to that switch and also disconnect the wireless adapter for that computer and hard wire the computer to the switch. I would then run a hard wire from the switch in the attic to the Linksys wireless access point router. Is this the best way to do this? I know you can buy a wireless adapter for the X Box, but it's very expensive and I was wondering about the reliability compared to a hard wire set up. Thanks for any input.
