4. You are wrong. With the DOCSIS infrastructure and modulation schemes in use by Cablevision, they can provision speeds up to 26M. But they choose to offer us 10M. (For which I am extremely grateful!)

The computer world is full of benchmark jockeys. You know the type. They load up their computers with enough cooling fans to make the box sound like a 747 on takeoff, so they can squeeze an extra few mhz out of their overclocked CPUs. The truest test for speed is the OOL Speed test,its on OOL's network and not outside on the net so you get a good idea of how fast you connection can be.Any other test is out there on the net and is effected by to many things to be valid but thats the real world and speed out there are going to be all over the place.

Well it's good to know information but my concern is with the Toshiba and Terajets because I have a 10Mbit WAN Port Router and those are the only cable modems that can get full speeds through my router, I might switch to wireless sometime in the next 3 months and then I'll consider a SB.
