There are programs you may have that make themselves a proxy and this can screw you up. Sometimes Zone alarm can do it too.
--
Simple rules - no offsides, no intent to maim, everything else is all good!

Can access WAP but not the internet.

aaron31182 : Hello all, I recently installed a Linksys WAP54G access point and a Linksys wireless networking card. I had the computer running with internet connectivity for a while but it suddenly lost the connection and I can not get it back. If I enter the WAP's ip number it will connect to it and I can change the settings on it, etc. However it just will not let me back onto the internet. I have a feeling I have some setting messed up in windows. I'm running Windows ME on the computer with the wireless network card. I assigned it an IP address that no other computers on my wired network have, and I entered the correct subnet address. Any advice would be great. Thank you - Aaron
