Re: Ad/Cookie Blocking App Reviews I omitted the hosts file, not on purpose. To be fair, here is the link to a thread that talks about hosts and wildcards. About the fifth post down or so is another link to a six page discussion on the hosts file.
The hosts file works well for me on my *nix boxen; however, it just does not do it for me in the MS OS world. That is why I am testing the above apps.
