That shouldn't interfere either way. The binaries were always incomplete when I used them. I don't think that has changed in a while. Giganews will have a page you can login to that shows your total usage, amt used per day, and estimate of when you will reach your cap if you keep up the same downloading.

I BELIEVE the change will be done by DNS. Whatever you use know will be pointed to a Giganews server. I am certain you will be able to see your usuage. It is a defined cap for newsgroups the same as most companies who use Giganews have. Comcast I believe has 1 GB.
