Charlotte, NC | If you can sue a gun manufacturer because someone used their product to kill someone, or a tobacco company because someone decided to keep smoking and got lung cancer, or an airline because the turbulence made you scared to ever fly again, you can definitely sue a Cable company for making you fat and lazy.
After all, not too many cable companies state their programs can become addicting. Also, there's no warning about the health issues from sitting on the couch all day watching TV. Personally, if I was fat, I'd sue the fast food industry, cable industry, major movie studios, Sony for that damn addictive PS2, and even auto makers (if I'd known driving was less healthy than walking, I wouldn't have bought a car)
You guys need to learn that the general public is dumb and can't be responsible for their own actions. Any action with a negative impact must be blamed on someone else. Corporations and/or the Government should make restitution in all these cases | |

Charlotte, NC | While my post was definately sarcastic, it's not beyond the realm of possibility for this man to win considering our current legal system.
The post about the airlines was true. About two years ago, Steven Spielberg's niece was in a class-action suit (total of 7 passengers) against American Airlines. They claimed the extreme turbulence during their flight caused them mental anguish and resulted in a fear of flying. This case went to trial and the plaintiffs were awarded 1.2 million.
In my opinion, that case sounds just as stupid as this one, but it could still be a winner. | |
