hacks and patches like BPL should be done away with by providing proper incentives to build new and RF clean infrastructure, such as all-fiber networks. Too bad that costs money, which means it wont happen without a good deal of change.
If there was enough competition form the PUD's and smaller fiber startups, maybe we would see some real motivation from the big players in the telecom industry.
