 | Is it old news in Europe? In the UK, there is 3? It doesn't cover the whole UK. It uses a roaming agreement with a 2g carrier to fill the gaps, which means you don't have 3g data in those areas. That is one out of 4 carriers (not counting virtual carriers).
3g slowed down a year or two ago as the economies went down, and because the companies took on massive debts buying licenses and other carriers.
The US has been behind on mobile technology, yes, but on 3g stuff, I think they are much more in sync with the rest of the world than they were before. |
