Are you listening Covad and Speakeasy??

Hope this is a trend of what is to come. I am close enough except for being on the other side of the United States.

Covad and Speakeasy have made a lot of progress with their 3.0/768 plan and recent price reductions. I would never expect to see pricing this low from Speakeasy, they've never really been a "low price leader", they try to focus more on quality and service in order to command higher premiums.

Speakeasy is a reseller of Covad. They can not increase speed like the Bells. Covad owns their entire network! Speakeasy resells it. Also SBC resells Covad in a lot of areas too. and Covad is a major player with the SBC and other Bell Markets!

but for Local ISPs to expand DSL coverage is more costly then you paying SBC for the service. Contact SBC's offices for more information. just talk to the right department.

Speakeasy? I have the 1.5/786 gamer package. When I was in my trial period I was getting 3.4 meg down and 820kb up.
After the trial period was over and they nailed me with a contract they bandwidth managed me to 1.35 down and 630 up.
Do you really want to deal with that? Caps stink. And... they deny capping it and tell me now upload is not guaranteed and wont fix it because its not out of the 90% range? I will be changing over to dls.net soon I talked to there office today and they promised me no caps and a month to month contract ..not a year. Ok ill give them on more chance to fix it then I'm gone....
