The service will be used, at least initially, with PC Cards, and will allow the enterprise to bypass the usual back-end work to "thin-out" its apps. So it's for the mobile worker,, who travels with a laptop or hybrid PDA/phone.
The service is not intended to cell phones, until more robust media applications, like video, are supported.
