TV Codes

Anybody know where I can get a listing of the tv codes so I can program my remote for my new tv? It's a 27" Apex TV that I won in a raffle. If anybody can post a link or what the code actually is I would appreciate it. I can't find my book with the codes in it.

»www.twmaine.com/Manuals/at2300.pdf is the PDF guide for the remote. I don't see any Apex listed, but review the section on Searching the Code Library in the PDF.

How are those Apex TVs? They certainly are competitively priced.

They're crap -- crappy picture, the geometry is all screwed up... But it works just fine for me for the bedroom to watch occasionally.

That's why they are so cheap. The picture on an Apex is going to look like crap compared to a JVC.

Im getting the jvc 32avf704 model. it has a 800 line resolution, dynamic focus, 6500k color temperature, invar shadow mask, 16:9 rastor compression(and only jvc has that exclusive to the company), a 3-line digital comb filter, and flat tube. I was suprised that JVC tv didnt look have much difference compared to the sony 32 inch tv's when it was on display! Plus its cheaper. Im gettin it for $519 from pc richard.

I got a 27" Flat-screen JVC for Christmas. Very nice picture. Composite, S-Video, and Component.

False. Give a common feature a new name, and people will be tricked into thinking it is an exclusive feature.

The feature, generically called "anamorphic squeeze", has lots of different trade names. Sharp calls it V-compression. Other companies call it "enhanced 16:9 mode" and a variety of other trade names. These days it is quite common on high end 4:3AR televisions.

Excellent! Another satisfied customer of marketing hype.

The Apex tv's dont have the best quality but for free it's better than what I've got. I've got a GE currently that has no rca jacks at all. I've got an xbox, io digital, and a vcr hooked up all through modulators. So the Apex has 4 rca hookups and component on it. It's a step up for me.

Jord, not everyone can afford a $10k 50" plasma. If the Apex works for you, that's all that counts.

You don't know how to train them. My wife lets me buy all the toys that I want, but she also has a wallet of CCs. So when I but something, she does the same!

Not a big fan of plasma. I like DLP and LCD's better.

If you look at the new Sony LCD's and compare them to the Sony Plasmas the LCD's have a higher resoulution and the Plasmas have a shorter life span

The thing with the LCDs is that they are almost like the projection sets. The viewing angle is not as wide as a plasma or a tube set.
