Jord413 join:2002-01-05 Parsippany, NJ | TV Codes Anybody know where I can get a listing of the tv codes so I can program my remote for my new tv? It's a 27" Apex TV that I won in a raffle. If anybody can post a link or what the code actually is I would appreciate it. I can't find my book with the codes in it. -- Beware of programmers who carry a screwdriver! |

They're crap -- crappy picture, the geometry is all screwed up... But it works just fine for me for the bedroom to watch occasionally. -- "You're depriving a village somewhere of an idiot." | Do you, uh, Google? |

 | reply to Jord413 Im getting the jvc 32avf704 model. it has a 800 line resolution, dynamic focus, 6500k color temperature, invar shadow mask, 16:9 rastor compression(and only jvc has that exclusive to the company), a 3-line digital comb filter, and flat tube. I was suprised that JVC tv didnt look have much difference compared to the sony 32 inch tv's when it was on display! Plus its cheaper. Im gettin it for $519 from pc richard. |

False. Give a common feature a new name, and people will be tricked into thinking it is an exclusive feature.
The feature, generically called "anamorphic squeeze", has lots of different trade names. Sharp calls it V-compression. Other companies call it "enhanced 16:9 mode" and a variety of other trade names. These days it is quite common on high end 4:3AR televisions. |

Jord413 join:2002-01-05 Parsippany, NJ | reply to Jord413 The Apex tv's dont have the best quality but for free it's better than what I've got. I've got a GE currently that has no rca jacks at all. I've got an xbox, io digital, and a vcr hooked up all through modulators. So the Apex has 4 rca hookups and component on it. It's a step up for me. -- Beware of programmers who carry a screwdriver! |

You don't know how to train them. My wife lets me buy all the toys that I want, but she also has a wallet of CCs. Not a big fan of plasma. I like DLP and LCD's better. |

Irish SharkPlay Like A Champion TodayPremium,MVM join:2000-07-29 Las Vegas, NV kudos:3 | The thing with the LCDs is that they are almost like the projection sets. The viewing angle is not as wide as a plasma or a tube set. |
