It will definitely take off.

The others are totally missing the concept.

Parents will FORCE their kids to have video phones. No more "Mom, I'm at Stacy's house doing homework" while she's really at Dan's room making out.

Girlfriends will force their boyfriends to have a video phone so they can check up on them and demand to see where they are. And vice versa of course.

And for those that really refuse to show themselves, I'm 100% certain you'll have the option to turn off the video feed. You won't be forced to show yourself if you don't want to.

Of course if it was your parents or significant other demanding your video feed, you'll have a harder time refusing.

This is the future. No way to change that FACT. Just deal with it.
