Re: 7004VBR freezing every couple hours Yup, I double checked the MAC address and it's correct. In the VBR setup menu, It's under the heading "Firewall->Access Control" right? This is how the menu looks like: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- Access Control Access Control allows users to block PCs on your network from gaining access to the Internet. The user can block PCs based on IP and MAC address.
Enable Filtering Function [x]yes [ ] no
Normal Filtering Table (up to 10 computers)
(nothing here, says "No Valid Filtering Rule!")
Mac Filtering table (up to 32 computers) (this is where I enter my MAC address right?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------
Do you want me to PM you my "ipconfig /all" results? |

1 edit | Access Control blocks the listed PC's from the Internet, go instead to Firewall-> MAC Filter for the entries to allow only those listed PC's access to the Internet. Maybe you could not enter the MAC manually but use the entry bar at the bottom of the MAC screen. Select your computer there from the DHCP list and the entry number and click 'copy to' and then click "Apply" and log out.
Make sure you remove the info from the Access Control screen before you log out.
Edit - ok, you probably have the v2 of the vbr with different firmware than above where you get different screens. Don't have that one so.... |
