Columbia, MO | New ASI deployment schedule? My CO 573-564 area code 63361 is scheduled for DSL deployment in Q2 this year. I can't get this info or any more up-to-date info from anyone in SBC/ASI. I only found the Q2 info from an SBC/ASI document from Nov '03. Anyone with connections have a more specific deployment schedule or know of when one may be released? Hope to take advantage of new price offers coming up from SBC but am losing hope.

| Quite honestly, that information is considered proprietary and really isn't available for public disclosure. There's about 4,319 steps to deploy DSL for a particular area.
That means there are 4,319 chances for delays and problems. Sometimes, things are smooth, sometimes they aren't.
Best I can say is, when it's done, it's done.

Columbia, MO | Kind of like Bungie and Halo 2! I realize that it takes time because I work for a another local telco/isp. Does SBC dsl sales see this list from you for deployment or do they have their own? I expect a update in the next week or two and just would like to know the best route to get it. I know the equipment first started to be installed last fall per local phone/union reps. Thanks for the help. |

Sounds like you already have dsl. For those of us that don't, we get a little impatient and want to know when it will be available. When it's done, it's done is not a viable answer.:( IM adsl guy, he was able to tell me a tentative date awhile back. |

That's the thing...all dates are tentative AT BEST. Quite honestly that's why the schedule isn't published. If you're this ansty about it, think how angry you would be if there was a delay!

Viable or not, sometimes it's the only answer. Corona  isn't saying don't worry about it because we don't care. He's simply stating tentatively Q2 this year might be the best answer you will get. It doesn't hurt to ask and maybe someone can give you more accurate information. But usually not. When David becomes available maybe he'll be able to look into it.

I was just wanting to know the newest schedules tenative date. I'm happy that dsl will come even if it's 2 years I'll wait because I have no choice and have accepted that. If the new schedule is out or will be soon I just want to know what it "tenatively" says. Don't want to step on toes here. |
