Los Angeles, CA | NOt sure of Cable buster in my area Hi, I live in Los angeles area 90004(hollywood/whilshire) and there seem to be no one using britsys service here or very few postings for it. I live 9870 Ft. from Co according to dslreports.com. I currently use comcast cable, which is ok. Thinking of switching but find it very risky to pay 69 dollars(installation fee)and sign 12 month contract and possible get crappy speeds and pay 199 dollars to cancel. If the actual speeds are at least 70% of 1500/756K, which are 1050/529, i would be content. Can ayone in the 90004/90038 area codes and distance of 9870 ft give me what they get as avg usage.
Just my feeling but i feel MCI is bogged down in Los Angeles. Just a feeling or is it bankratcy that drove way local isp from offering there service.

COVAD Distance to CO: 1.87 miles (9885 feet) Qualifies for all ADSL plans including 3000/384k
MCI Distance (Loop Length): 10450 feet (1.98 miles)
Qualifies for SDSL up to 768k/768k.
Qualifies for ADSL up to 1500/768k.
The system tells me that it qualifies for ADSL but says the it is not available so i assume MCI is out of ports in this central office until they install more equipment.
