Re: Webmail/Spam So...Elias...why is it that we don't have access to the spam filter to add our "friends" to the whitelist. It clearly says in the Help info that this is something that users have access to. It would solve all the problems of mail that is friendly being marked as SPAM and not getting to our Outlook/Outlook Express Folders. |

From Help Section: The other anti-spam pages can only be accessed by users who have specific account privileges. Host administrators can access the Host Black Lists, Host Black List Entry, Phrase Filtering, Statistical Filtering, HTML Feature Filtering, White List and URL Domain Black List pages and help topics. System administrators can access the Server Black Lists and Server Black List Entry pages and help topics.
Can't this be set up so that we can have access to White List? |

Elias - in an earlier post in this thread you said: "I just received an e-mail stating that we can't remove the filters anymore."
Looks like that isn't the case!

Well, I was quoting an e-mail that Victor sent me: said by Victor: Please do not offer anymore users the ability to be exempt from spam filtering. You can give them 3 options
1: check messages in webmail 2: set up imap account(s) 3: for POP3 users create a second Account in users mail client that logs in as userID-spam@domainname.com. The password will be the same as there mail account.
Please do not offer any more removal from spam filtering.
Victor
You're more than welcome to call our Technical Support Group and see what they can offer you.

I'm pretty sure you have to call support and ask to have it set up initially. |

I have a mail account at DSLi, I had it set up when I had my IPs assigned, but it's never used for anything. |

You get 5 mail accounts, but you don't have to set them up if you don't want them.

If legitimate email is getting filtered there has got to be a reason why. Imail inserts X-Headers on messages that are flagged as Spam. Opening the message headers will reveal which rule was used - reverse DNS, RBL/SBL list, keywords used, etc.
Open a couple of those messages and check the headers... X-Header is usually at the end.
