NO CAPS!
I can (and do) run my connection 24/7 and have managed to fill a 100GB hard drive in approx 5 weeks time. No letters, No phone calls, No cancellation!

NO CAPS!
While cable does currently seem to be at the forefront of bandwidth capping (Optimum Online caps to 160kbps if you use upstream too much, Cox has bandwidth limits, Comcast has the glass ceiling), I'd be cautious of touting DSL as a guaranteed "cap free" alternative. DSL could be prone to caps too, if enough "hogs" migrate over to DSL ISPs and start costing them too much money.
The downside to all of this competitive goodness (slashing prices, increased caps) is the potential for abuse increases, and the funds to tolerate it decrease. -- \\ROB - a part of the SCB local network |
