Re: Advanced Solutions Inc-North Region-ISP Partners Wow thanks!! It's very time consuming and tedious to do that. Does anybody have any modifcations and adjustments to make to this list? If not then we can add it to the top of the Funhouse. Jazz or any ASI people can you confirm this list is accurate for the ISPs that use ASI? Can you confirm the LATA of the MISC ISPs? It was originally posted by an anonymous fella. I sorted it by geography. |

DLS.net I contacted DLS.net a few days ago, and spoke to someone there about the possibility of switching from Ameritech.net without having to reorder and cancel. He thought this might be possible if and only if multiple orders were involved. I told him I had at least half a dozen, and he thought that might be enough. He said he'd get back to me with an answer.
He hasn't done so yet, so I don't hold a lot of hope, but if he does, I'll first check out their service with a few of their existing customers, and if that looks good, I'll give people here the opportunity to join my little jumpship group.
Their monthly prices are higher, but if their service record checks out,, that'll solve most of the problems I've had since day one.
DLS.net, for my purposes, seemed the most viable option, after looking at the websites that Ranma so carefully put together.
Like I said, I'll post more when I hear more to post. |

aeRo Internet-»www.aeroinc.net: aero Internet uses Verizon, which is really complicated, and they couldn't service me (so not sure if this is an entire Chicago problem or what)
HTC Technologies Co.-»www.htctech.net/dslprice.htm HTC is not in Chicago yet --- I called them!
Hope this helps!

Bringing back to life. Since it appears I may loose my Rythyms DSL line through Telocity/DirectTV I scanned through this post.
I know for sure A-Tech is located in my CO(Covad is not), am I to assume these ISP's will install DSL over a A-Tech line.
Also which 1 comes with the most recommendations? Also why does some of these offer 1.5/256 lines at $79-89 when A-tech sells their 1.5 line for $189:(? I was under impression that if using an A-Tech line, even through another ISP I wouldnt be able to get more than the 784/128. I guess my question leads, how/why does A-tech sell their 1.5 line at $189, then let local ISP's offer same deal for only $79.
Well Im going to be shoping around for another DSL line:) |

This list was generated using the June available data and is not necessarily complete, accurate or all-encompassing. Some of these have ISP reviews here, but you'll have to do your homework to decide. Sorry to hear about the Rhythms/Telocity line. Welcome to the Funhouse! |

Re: Advanced Solutions Inc-North Region-ISP Partners Which reminds me, I need to update this list with some new info.
Update 08/05/01: Added Dslreports review links to make it easier to add and read reviews. Most ISPS currently do not have a review so if you have a friend that uses them please have them add a review.
Update 06/19/01: Added the info that aeRo Internet uses Verizon in Chicago and maybe other areas. Added info that HTC Technologies does not offer their DSL service in Chicago yet. Thanks to Deecadams.
Update 06/17/01: Added Provide.net to Michigan with thanks to defiant128, They have both ASI and Covad dsl packages.
Update 06/15/01: Moved I-2000 Inc to Michigan with connotation that they don't offer DSL yet. Thanks to ToucanSam.
I separate most of the ISPs up by region. Though I have a MISC section for ones I couldnt find in www.dslreports.com ISP list or in www.yahoo.com. This list was originally posted by an anonymous poster, so I do not know how accurate it is. I only sorted it and added links. If somebody can confirm the accuracy of this list we can addit to the top of the Ameritech Funhouse as Ameritech ISP Partners like Pacbell and Swbell have done.
THIS IS THE UNOFFICIAL LIST OF ISPS THAT ASI PROVIDES SERVICE TO IN THE AMERITECH REGION
Earthlink is using Covad for their CLEC, even though they have signed up with ASI also. I have moved them down to MISC because of this.

Earthlink Empowering Technologies EOS Family Net Friendly Internet New Age Consulting Nextsteps Quantum Connections RMI.net WMIS World Wide Net (Has partnered with ASI but does not seem to be sellling DSL via ASI, only Covad.)
While looking for webpages for these providers. I noticed that some of them use 2 CLECs. Some of the ISPs offer ADSL and SDSL. The ADSL is offered by Advanced Solutions Inc usually. Advanced Solutions Inc does not provision SDSL lines I think.
