Re: [Equipment] Pulver Internet Phone Patch tester I got the Pulver IPP & SPA-2000 from Pulver today. For the past four hours I have no luck in making the IPP work. It looks like that the SPA-2000 works as expected since I can make FWD calls and receive calls.
After configuring the IPP for 2-stage dialing I conected it to the SPA-2000. IPP-LineA to SPA-2000-Line1 and IPP-LineB to the phone line. I can call the SPA-2000 and after 2 rings the IPP picks up the call (I can see the green light on the SPA-2000 and the yellow light on the IPP) but that is where my luck stops. Should I hear a prompt for the user password? I can't hear a thing. Also, if I call line A and enter *# I don't hear any prompt.
When configuring the IPP I tried all the options for confirmation mode (choice #7) but still no luck.
Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong? Is the IPP unit defetive?
Thanks, Stamos |

MikeB3 join:2004-01-20 Los Altos, CA | I confirmed operation by connecting a phone in parallel to the cable linking the Sipura and the IPP. As soon as the IPP picked up the call I lifted the handset. Then I could hear what the IPP was doing. I too had some problems initially as I couldn't hear the IPP prompt, but it turned out to be an FWD problem in that audio was taking 10 seconds of so to be heard after the call was picked up, and hence the prompt was never heard....
