Thats why the "HOWTO" in the first post has "2) Do HARD RESET". The other option is to go to "Password" tab and to "Reset to default".
The reason is that the firmware uses "mustdie_txpwr" NVRAM variable which does not exist when the firmware is updated. Reseting defaults adds this variable.
