LOL. I might use AIM but I uncheck all their addins when it went to install and I use some monitoring software that does not alow oter apps to install with out my permission first, plus my firewall wont allow them to connect to the internet, lol. I wont ever use AOL's internet service again, did once and it messed my system up so bad i had to do a clean reinstall when i tried to uninstall it, always trying to take over my network card when i didnt even have a network at all, lol. I just use Adaware 6.0 to clear out all spyware and addware from my system, like wildtangent and weatherbug.

Someone should smash a glass vase into the software management team at AOL for putting ads and spyware into the AIM software anyways. I mean, why would a "good" *sarcasm hahaha* company like AOHELL need to put such things and force us to run AdAware and/or anti-spyware software when we install these... AOL is already losing enough subscribers, why not just make themselves more likeable and "nice" by giving away FREE clean software... *sigh* What are the chances that people actually click on these advertisements... like video/audio ads, those are just plain stupid... now you have to infest my computer with junk and bloat that I don't need?

If you take AOL's side and say the ads are helping them make money, there are plenty of alternative AIM software that is clean, thus AOL is causing their own path to bankruptcy...

It's already crapy enough for putting advertisement banners into the AOL (paid) Email window, and other various PAID AOL windows/webpages... I stopped using AOL for three reasons: too much bloat, too much annoying ads that make their service and GUI look bad, and (for freaking sake) they are TOO EXPENSIVE ! O_O Crazy...

Pissing me off enough for the cancellation techs repeatdly offering you free hours (which requires you to CALL BACK to cancel) to stay with them... I will NEVER go back to AOL.

Heads up - The new AIM Beta allows you to choose whether to install WildTangent or WeatherBug during the installation. Just uncheck both and you have a spyware-free AIM.

Ah, but will the last free version of DeadAIM (version 3.2.8) work with it? I doubt it.
Still, I guess no spyware is better than spyware.

Man! 3 POS's in one package. Awesome job AOHELL! Keep it up. You're helping me out to make my house payments every day while I'm unemployed adding all the BS to an otherwise already POS program.
