| Great Software What's with the advertising?
Anyway, about Skype. I used it to call Israel today from Canada for the first time. All I can say is WOW! The quality was close to (if not the same as) a normal phone. Now, I have a 128k connection, and the other party has DSL (1.3-.15 Mbs would be my best guess). Everythig works very very well. Now, all I have to try is conference calling.
I am especially impressed with the fact that it doesn't break up. I've used HoneyQ (the ICQ add-on back in 1998), MSN, AIM, RogerWilco, and NetMeeting, and each and every one of those breaks up the voice. This, in 45 minutes of conversation accross the ocea did not break up once. This software made a great impression on me, and I reccommend it to everyone. |
