Nextel has horrible customer relations. Dealing with them is like talking to the IRS not a business. I dont know whats wrong with them. Yeah yeah we all have complaints against some company one way or the other, but nextel just caters too much to production type people.

They need to concentrate on aquiring more customers, but they dont seem to have a problem with holding such a small peice of the marketshare so whatever floats their boat.

Dont get me wrong their customer service is good, fast answer times short waits, Im talking about their busiess strategy, contract terms etc.etc.. They are like what AOL has degraded to now without the 20 million customers;).

The non=existance of a family plan, the low minutes and slim features make that evident. They are BANKING on PTT. Cant have your eggs in one basket. While nextels wireless internet service will be the fastest they are the LAST to come to the table. Years behind other carries that have people locked in contracts:).

Nextel is good to longtime customers Im sure, but that doesnt mean jack when you cant get new meat in.:).

Why would a carrier that focuses on BUSINESS customers with a network DESIGNED for PTT offer "family" plans and so on? (Keep in mind that it takes half the network resources for Nextel to handle a PTT conversation than a normal phone call.)

BTW, the Nextel Broadband service doesn't run in the same spectrum the phone/PTT service and their current slow packet data does (ESMR) -- there's a reason Nextel acquired MMDS licenses.

oh god don't remind me i remember setting up my pcs phone with the idian lady on the other end of the phone i had to walk her threw my phone setup. now that was funny.

anyway with sprint the service rocks just pray when you call you can understand them.

If you think nextel is good to long time customers i have 3 phones for sale about 3 months off their network 3 years we had them for ptt but it just got to expensive to deal with when sprint had the same plan but with 1000 minutes for half the cost. 'hell i showed em the sprint ad and they said well we don't match prices and I said well you don't have me as a customer.

Try att its non existant. When you talk with them on the phone they do everything on an imaginary keyboard. That way when you get your 1,200 dollar bill because you were roaming the whole time even though they told you that you were switched to a no roaming plan, and then call them up they have no record that you tried to change it. Then 10 minutes of bitching before they decide to believe you and knock the charges off and then reinstate the no roaming plan. They then end the conversation with, You may have to do this again next month if you get charged for roaming again. Its like WTF.
