Well then how do you plan on connecting to the network? Flarion's OFDM is not available through the phone, so that leaves no choice but to use PC cards.

Then I guess I'll never use Flarion's OFDM then. There's no reason why they can't build the technology in to the phones, and then allow you to Bluetooth from the computer to the phone on to the network.

Why would they build it into the phone when it's absolutely useless to the phone? It'll just add to the size and cost of the phone, when there's absolutely no need. The vast majority of people don't care about having to slide in a PC card to use the wireless network.

The main reason for these cellular wireless plans is to allow the phone on the network. Most of these phones have built-in browsers, e-mail capability, etc. The computer "piggy-backing" on to the network is secondary. That's why it should be built-in to the phone.

Unless we're talking about WiMax. Then that should be built in to the computer itself.

This is not a "cellular wireless plan". This is Nextel Broadbad. It's no different than a company like Ricochet offering wireless Internet service.
