At least Apple made a whole-hearted effort, and I applaud them for that [and i'm a windows user, if it matters]. That in the face of unbelievable gouging by the labels. If memory serves correct, Apple is virtually running in the red with iTunes because the labels take nearly all of that .99 cents per song. Plus the labels full control of availability of their artist catalogues and limiting "hot songs" [notice all the partial albums iTunes offers?] by artists must make it a nightmare for Apple to manage. |
