| Re-programming Comcast remote control
My cats fat butt sat on my remote and wiped out the programming and comcast cable does not know how to re-program their own remote for my Scientific atlanta explorer 2200..
I pressed CABLE, then when it lit up I pressed setup til it blinked twice then they said to enter 477 and then press power, it did nothing.
I have new batteries and the other remote works fine.
Anyone know what the code is for the remote to work on my Scientific Atlanta?

Check the following for info on the boxes, it probably have the codes and commands you need

Which remote? There looks to be about 4 of them for these boxes.

| Sorry those 4 boxes are not remotes they are cable boxes. I am talking about the actual comcast digital cable remote that they give u to control the scientific box and it has no number on the remote just says comcast digital remote and fits in ur hand like a tv remote!!!!
They (Comcast) gave us the remote with the box but do not know the universal code for the remote to allow it to be used with the scientific atlanta explorer 2200 as I stated above.

Seems to be 7 remotes on actual on that page for me, see screen shots, above, links below.
Unlock CBL Remote code to allow programming:
1) Press AND HOLD SELECT and CBL until light blinks TWICE.
2) Enter 996 on keypad
3) Press CH- to unlock remote
Use table in manual or cable co provided code

| Thanks for the links of remotes, but, mine are about 4 to 5 yrs old, so I don't even think they are made anymore, and they don't look like anything you posted, so, I'm going down to my local comcast office, and get 2 new remotes to work w/ my 2200 & 2100 explorer converter boxes
yep I called, and they said, that they were suprize that they even worked this long I've had them since (2000)-(2001) comcast said "come on in & get them replaced as soon as you can"

What is not working volume or channel +/- ?
For both you start with hitting cable
Hold setup till light blinks 2 times
Volume code = 993
Channel +/- = 991
Then hit cable and should be good to go |
