Back then, I the weight limit was 70 lbs. I think they have lowered that to 40 lbs for priority now. Plus there are a bunch of new regulations. The postal service really frowns on mis-use of the mails. How about just returning their original package, with a nice note saying no thank you. Would that ok? Just thinking out loud.

another thing you might want to try is the "counter-script".

never had the guts to try it myself, i usually just say "no, i'm not interested" and hang up.

I LOVE the counter-script. I'll try it next time.

When I get "The Call", I let them go through their whole presentation (time permitting) and seem interested then at last moment tell them "sorry, I have to go now...... call back when I have more time"..... blows their mind.
