How many of you guys realize that BN is controlled by UMNO? I'm pretty sure you never saw any BN annual assembly Live on your TV. UMNO? yes.
I read somewhere on the net that there's one Big banner near the Bukit Bintang Area which writes in Chinese "A vote for DAP is a Vote for PAS"
I wonder how many chinese and Indians realize that a vote for BN is a vote for UMNO?
Here's a brief history of UMNO.
The party was created solely to oppose the british Decision to grant full-citizenship to all the chinese/indian/other Immigrants in Malaya. They were the one who created all these policies favoring Malays today.
UMNO has alwasy vied for total Malay only leadership a-la The Arabs.
Until today in the disguise of BN, it is UMNO who controls Malaysia by proxy. (ironic that i;m using that sentence. It was mahathirs idea after all.) MCA is UMNOs puppet, so is MIC.
BN pretty much bought out all of their opposes. Even PBS is is now a component party of BN. All because of Money.
Fortunately, parties like DAP, Keadilan, PAS, etc are fighting to preserve democracy in Malaysia. I'm glad that they didn't give in to BN yet, at least.
MCA, gerakan, whatever probably has no say in the decision making department of BN. Politicians from those parties are pretty much defects from the oppositions that can't stand living without money. So BN offered good mullah and of they go willingly. These people are not in office because they want to help people. They are there to fill their own pockets.
I'm surprised many of you can't see the sad truth.
UMNO is the one who had played the race card all this while. It is them who creates fear amongst Malays. It is them who kept the "syak wasangka" towards other in the malays society. It is common to hear a Malay say;
If a chinese was the prime minister we all will be poor. Only the chinise will profit. Look at singapore! the malays there are non-existence. Racist? think again.
Ask a chinese about malays. Oh Malays? If they don't have that special right we will be on top.
Ask an indian about Malays and chinese. Chinse and Malays are using us to make more profit. We are the most poorest race and no one helps us.
Here's some food for thought.
If a party is solely based on race and the people keep voting them for 50 years. There is something fundamentally wrong in our society.
DAP although Chinese Dominant, They have Indians and Malays and all races are happily welcomed to join them. Even the big fish are consisted by all of the races in malaysia.
As a Malay myself, I despise UMNO. Until they open their doors to all races i'll considere them as the most openly racist group in Malaysia.
The malaysian constitution had Promised equal right to all of its sons and daughters. I hope some of you wake up and smell the coffee. Better late then never. -- Anyone but Bush/Kerry 2004 Hope is a good thing, Maybe the best of things |

1 edit | reply to ThirdShifter Equal rights? Humans being......well, humans, that's nigh well impossible. I doubt whether any other govt in the world would be able to offer that unconditionally. Still, we just have to make do with what's available, which is choosing the lesser of two evils as zeone mentioned....oops "weevils"
Anyone ever read Animal Farm? "All animals are equal...but some are more equal than others" |

 | PAS, Keadilan for democracy... my foot !!!
PAS = Terrorist (one way or another) Keadilan = Only for 'his' agenda (we all know who he is)
So only leave me with BN (at least they have a proven track record, no matter what people say, we are doing better than most other country)
DAP (at least we have a genuine opposition here)
Myself (this of course will be the best choice) |

There seems to be too much traffic to the website during day time. Try checking it at night instead. |

Yup, I will vote for DAP if they were genuine and if they actually contest in my area.
Keadilan, no they did nothing wrong, then again they did nothing also. Setting up a party after your husband get thrown in jail is cause for suspect. Also naming it keadilan (justice). Justice for whom ? Why support the original gov before getting yourself in jail, if you think you can do better by setting up your own party ?
No, I will suspect Keadilan motives, now and forever.
For me, result is all that matters. |

Keadilan is a party set up out of anger against Dr. M for sacking Anwar as a DPM and UMNO member and resulting in him being charged in court and later sentenced to jail.
Anwar used to condemn DAP & PAS when he was in UMNO but immediately after his dismissal from the Cabinet, he became close friends with DAP & PAS.
Kapal Sink used to urge the govt to investigate claims that Anwar was involved in sexual misconduct in the Parliament, but he was the lawyer who defended him against his sodomy charges.
Don't you think the act of these opposition leaders are not genuine? Only looking for opportunities to go against the govt. |
