Mozelle Thompson, a commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission, said it is too early for Congress and the states to pass laws to ban "spyware," the Washington Post reported Tuesday. Rather, technology businesses should teach consumers how to avoid falling victim to identity theft scams and other dangers spyware poses, he said.
My opinion only...
So it seems to me Mozelle Thompson acknowledges the existence of "spyware", but believes it's someone elses responsibility to clean it up. I can remember when my own children thought that way too. Thankfully they have shed that immaturity & have since grown into responsible adults.
