A couple of days ago my connection speed was down to 1,kbps.
So I called Compton to see what was up.I thought it must have been on there end because I had the same effect on two computers.Turns out I messed up my registry settings.
Before I had realized it was an error on my part I had spoken to TRAVISc at Compton who in turn had a Tech come out to my house to check out the problem. After he did some testing of his own on my computer and connection as well as on his own laptop I decide it was most likely a registry problem seeing as the connection was fine on his laptop computer, and it was(just goes to show that you shouldn't play with registry settings unless you know what your doing) Because I ALWAYS back up important data I figured a reinstall would be the easiest and I'm my opinion the fastest way to solve my connection problem,(simply because I couldn't figure out how to fix the registry) it did. And Compton did some work on there end of it as well. Now my connection speed is ABOVE
what they advertise it as being, ....Good job guy's.
Would I recommend Compton to any one looking into internet connectivity? your damn right I would.I've dealt with other ISP's before and non compare to the kind of customer service I get from Compton.Compton has never given me the runaround,They've responded quickly to any of my questions internet or digital cable service (and it's very rare that I have any problems with either)and most important to me is they don't have an attitude problem like some other company's do when you call for help.,..Yep, I'm very happy with Compton.
A satisfied customer.
