I see trees.

Have you used all of the Motorola modem scripts yet?

What are you using as the phone number? The modem script isnt that important.

I have used it, but not for GPRS/modem access on the computer.

i have not tried any scripts. if there is a way to do it, without using any scripts that would be a plus.

the phone number being dialed is irrelevent at this point, however once properly setup the number being dialed will be *99#.

one thing to understand, is that i don't actually have a v600. i work for a company that provides support for this type of setup and so far none of us have been able to get our customers setup with this scenario.

This is how we do it with the Nokia 3650. I'm sure it would be the same with the Motorola but with a different modem script.

my customer was going to do some research and shoot me an email with her results. i will be sure to let you know the results; both if she found something that did work and whether or not this works.

i've never had any problems setting up other phones to a mac, as it comes with a nifty "wizard" that does it all for you. it's under bluetooth in the system prefs. the button is labeled "setup a new device". the problem there though, is that it is driven by scripts.

I did, no problems at all.
once phone was paired, all i had to do was download the newly updated scripts, (used the motorola GPRS CID1 script) set the password/Login in the ppp config to A/A and was online.

now if i could only get it to sync. onsync is ok, but its naming conventions seem to have gotten everything all screwed up, and it would be nice to be able to have some of the control i had over the phone with my t6i. but so far i like the phone.

you can get the scripts here:

Anyone know what kind of bandwidth to expect from bluetooth I havent been able to get gprs to work yet with my v600 on cingular when transferring files it seems to max out about 6kB/s. That what id call "high speed".

It was a real pain in the @$$ to set up my Sony Ericsson T616 for a GPRS connection via Bluetooth. And when it finally worked, it was extremely slow. Far worse than dialup, initial requests take forever. Its barely enough for IRC.
