 | [DW6000] can't send e-mail I just got DW6000. I have it networked through a Linksys router. I can browse and receive email, but I can't send. I can send and receive on one computer, but not the other two. Has anyone else had this problem? |

| Hello BeccaWand welcome to the BBR Satellite Forum.
Which level of service do you have? Professional or Consumer? If you have the Consumer level of service, check the instructions here to make sure you configured your router properly: »Satellite Forum FAQ »I already have a router. | reply to BeccaW I battled the email problem all day yesterday and still didn't get it to work. I had a 1 port router going to a hub then to the computers. Today I got a linksys 4 port and scrapped the hub and everything works perfectly. Oh, I have DW6000 BE with three computers. -- SRS E/L, 1410, GW.68 4.0.3.9 SP B Win XP home 2.53 GIG P4 512 ram 1 client XP home. |

Access the Linksys configuration set-up and change the MTU from its default setting of 1500 to 1460. Try sending mail.
Other DW6000 Pro people have had email and Windows Update problems using Linksys BEFSR81/BESFX41 routers with the MTU set to 1500 - »[DW6000] Windows Update fails »[DW6000] DW6000+router+Outlook Express=Can't send email »[DW6000] Update: Outlook email problems
If the above doesn't work... Take the router out of the picture by plugging one of the problem PCs directly into the DW6000... The NIC in the PC should be set to obtain an IP address automatically. Edit: Ater setting up the PC to receive it's address automatically, shut your PC down. Then power cycle the DW6000 unit (pull it's power plug, wait 10-15 seconds and plug back in) before turning on your PC again. Try sending email.
