| Motorola Router Help
I have a motorola wr850g router, and a toshiba pcx2200 cable modem. It seems that once or twice a day, I have to power cycle the router for it no longer will let me on the internet, or into the router configuration. I can however connect to other computers on my network when this happens. Also the light on the router still shows that I have an internet connection. I have called motorolas tech support and they said something about cloning the mac address of the first computer on the network. Could they have meant cloning the routers mac address. Also I have auto dns turned on, and auto ip configuration. One other wierd thing is that the router assigns one of my computers two ip addresses. Could this be because I have two network cards, even though only one of them is plugged into the router. Last thing is that this is all wired, and the wireless option is turned completely off. Any help would be appreciated. |
