Re: Funny

Personally I think its a great idea and I hope Verizon follows through. I first got DSL with VZ about 3 years ago then switched to Comcast HSI after two years because I wanted to not have a land line becaues I use my mobile for all my calls.

Then this year when I moved I switched back to VZ DSL because it was so much cheaper than Comcast and although Comcast was fast I truly don't need a super fast connection to read articles, send email and watch vidoes.

So I love my VZ DSL but would love it more without the landline attached.

Don't get too excited yet, this is all speculation. Verizon always likes to talk big but when it comes to delivering on the goods they are always lacking. Look at the recent "upgrade" they are offering. My conspiracy-minded side says that they "moved" all their customers further away from the CO just so they would not need to do any actual upgrades, but I'm chalking that up to a massive database error instead.

I'm just wondering how many DSL customers are going to be knocked offline when they call to cancel their phone service. Nothing Verizon does ever runs smoothly, I can't imagine they will make it easy for you to cancel your phone line.

Yep, the only difference between Verizon and a bag of crap is the bag.
