The Wallpaper Thread

A lot of images pass through the Gallery and the DI Forum which would make good wallpaper. If you have created a high-quality image that would be suitable for wallpaper--whether it be a photograph, scanned art, digital art, or whatever--that you are willing to share, please post it here. There is no limit to how often you can post, how many you can post, or how large they can be.

They should be scaled to one of the standard wallpaper sizes: 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x1024, or 1600x1200. tmpchaos See Profile has given his approval for us to exceed the 800x600 posting limit usually used for this forum.

Notice that 800x600 is not a suggested size. It would be kind of small for most of our members.

Here is one to start us off. It's an older photo transformed with Gemologist See Profile's painter action. Put on your sunglasses--it's a bright one. *grin*

P.S.: An earlier thread did something similar:

And so that reminds me...

If any of the 1024x768 photos I posted earlier tickles anyone's fancy and they want them at a greater resolution, just let me know. I'll resize them down from the full resolution originals (rather than you resize them up from the lower resolutions).

This one I just took the other day. The original final was 1024x702 so I resized to 1024x768. I don't think it hurt it.
