| switched to EXTREME now torrents are SLOW!>?!?
hi guys...i switched to extreme yesterday...my torrents on my regular terayon modem were getting speeds of 100k and up.
NOW on extreme my torrent downloads are getting barely 20k!!!???
all the settings are the same.
Ive tried downloading behind the router and right off the modem with the same result.
a speed test give me dl speed of 528kb sec
everything else works great...any ideas!??!?
ive also tried using different ports for torrent, with the same crap results...

i'm using the surfboard .. same issue with BT here (it's weird because i actually got this modem about 6 months ago when my lancity died) lol.
any ideas?

im acheiving max possible with my surfboard...
max possible as in the torrents that acutally hold enought users to give me throughoutput...

hey man .. i'm using sygate personal firewall (so not all ports are open) lol ..
i have no idea why it slowed down so much .. but i think it may have something to do with the DrTCP settings i changed recently lol .. i need to see how to revert back to default lol.

| it seems many torrents are slow off sites like supr
but before my modem upgrade, everything seemed to go pretty quick...
i did get about 150k off of the gumball rally torrent in the movies/cars section of supr
but for tme most part general torrents even ones with lots of people on it seem to go VERY SLOW compared to what i had before...this is very frustrating..
do you guys think i should exchange my moto surfboard for a toshiba....? |

also in the server setting field what you use...

Using BitComet, only set to no limit on DL rate and 50 on upload rate, nothing else change.
Didn't touch anything about port (either router or program) since it config the port itself (UPnP).. |

cyboy...through this client..how long after clicking a link, do you usually have to wait before you see speeds above 30k upwards...is it instant..or do you wait for a certain period of time.

where abouts are you; and which modem u got? i'm in mississauga and i can't get bitcomet to get any higher than 25 KB/s ..
i'm connecting straight to the modem running sygate personal firewall .. i really wanna see if i can get my BT to 500+ KB/s.
i tried your settings and again; i can't get past 25 KB/s .. lemmie know where you are / which modem u have ..
