Please. They've already got a head start. Bell Canada is still maybe a year to year and a half away from offering residential VoIP service. Vonage, Primus and some others are already selling theirs. Besides, the CRTC doesn't regulate Broadband ISP pricing, and there's tons of smaller DSL companies around.
Oh, and the main reason why Bell Canada wants VoIP in such a bad way is to take on Telus out west. In Ontario and Quebec, VoIP will be part of the strategy, but VDSL will be the main focus because of all the copper in the ground. |
