What is the exact error message you get when you insert a CD in the drives?
Anything show up in the Event Viewer logs (Start > Run > eventvwr)?
What burning software have you installed?
Have you installed an ASPI layer? |

| "Please insert a disc into drive " is the exact error, the drive letter being the letter of the CD or DVD drive.
No logged error.
Using Prassi Primo DVD for burning.
I installed an ASPI layer 2 years ago, so that I could rip audio tracks from CDs with Audio Catalyst.
As I mentioned, the CD/DVD drives seemed to work fine for those two years, right up to just prior to installing SP4. -- Take care,
