| That Westell Modem is a router in itself and to make it work with the WRT54G, you have to turn off DHCP on the WRT54G and leave DHCP enabled on the Westell. The Westell is where the phone line is plugged into so it receives the IP. Then you have to connect the Westel Cat5 cable (which would normally go to your computer into one of the four ports on the WRT54G, NOT the WAN port. Use any of the ports, 1-4. It essentially becomes a wireless hub.
If you used the CD to set it up then it should automatically have DHCP enabled.
The manual for the Westell 2200 can be found here: »www.westell.com/pages/model2200/···uide.jsp and it tells a lot that your ISP didn't tell you. You can skip the CD configuration and do it yourself and have a better system for it.
