| [ Cable] can't stay connected with aol and router
have been connected with aol broadband cable and netgear wgr614 router for months. connection issues getting progressively worse until i couldn't connect at all using router. using all of the tricks, resetting, ...sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. few days go by, now i can connect but only for a few minutes at a time. if i take the router out of the picture i can hold a connection. aol says it's a router issue, netgear wants to charge $$$ to help and won't answer their "free" e-mail support. router configurations have stayed the same as when it was working six months ago. all lights are up and running. don't understand.....please help!!!
(using aol 9.0. tried switching back to 8.0 and that didn't help) |
