| Cayman 3546 IPMapping not functioning.
I've been trying to figure out fo rthe past couple of hours why my cayman router isn't letting ip's pass through, so maybe someone here can help me out.
I'm gave the ip 65.66.x.189 as the external and the internal address as 192.168.x.126. I have restarted the router, the IPMap shows to be configured, but hte ip is inaccessable. Anyone have any ideas? |

| Update on this. I have the Ip Map issue resolved, but Now my question is how can I get the other machines on the lan to access the ip assigned 65.66.x.189? It functions fine from outside the lan and from the machine that's mapped to the ip, any ideas? |

| reply to merlingt the 3546 does not support loopback. this means you cannot access your public ips from your LAN side. you must access the machines using the LAN ip. if you are hosting a website or mail server, simply edit the hosts file of each machine and point the name to the local ip. or setup your own DNS server to point local machines to the local ip. -- If you can read this, thank a teacher..........and since it's in English, thank a soldier. |
