| SBC Ameritec and Cayman 3220-h
i have SBC Ameritec as my ISP and am trying to use a Cayman 3220-h router with it. i used this router w/ a bellsouth connection and the only configuring i had to do was entering my login and password. however, when i try to connect to my SBC account (yes, w/ the correct login and password) the DSL just doesnt want to sync up. i saw a post like this on the forums but it delt w/ static ip's. is there extra configuration i have to do in order to make the connection work? here is a glimpse of my router configuration from my router diagnostic tool.

the 3220 syncs on the outer pairs of the jack, are you sure you have the correct cable? |

Have you verified what the correct VPI/VCI is for your circuit with Ameritech? 0/35 is what is mostly used there these days. See: »Ameritech - SBC FAQ »What is my VPI/VCI, I am configuring my router? |
